Les Métanuits is an adaptation for saxophone and piano of ‘Les Métamorphoses Nocturnes’, the string quartet by the Hungarian composer, György Ligeti. It is a wonderful work of improvisation, reinventing the original score yet remaining true to the powerful rhythmic textures, by the pianist and composer, Roberto Negro and the saxophonist and jazz composer, Emile Parisien.
Roberto was trained at the Conservatoire de Chambéry, He was awarded the prestigious Victoires du Jazz 2018.
Emile joined the Jazz College of Marciac and then went on to study classical and contemporary music at the Conservatoire of Toulouse. He won the Victoires du Jazz in 2009 and 2014. Roberto’s versatility and Emile’s virtuosity will offer a thrilling evening of jazz.
